Took a trip to Yellowstone and was on the road for a month. We packed a ton of food in the fridge knowing that groceries are scarce and expensive in that area of the country. We had swapped out our absorption fridge for a residential fridge and needed a way to keep our fridge running while driving all day for a couple days in a row and while boondocking at overnight stops along the way. I replaced my marine deep-cycle battery with 2 Renogy AGM batteries and added this inverter. I then ran an extension cord to the back of the rig, up through the floor to behind the refridgerator. I then opened the rear vent panel on the rig to plug the fridge into the extension cord from the rig outlet. Turned on the inverter and had power to the fridge the whole time. When we were connected to shore power I turned off the inverter and plugged the fridge back into its normal outlet. Worked great and the frozen food stayed frozen! Easy to use and install and made with very good quality components (from what I could tell). Very happy with this purchase.

I purchased this for a camper van build. So far it has worked great. There are a few things to consider when purchasing a power inverter.First would be size. Look at the components that you intend to use and make sure that you choose an inverter with adequate wattage. For my van this inverter powers my induction cooktop and is also wired to two standard electric outlets. My cooktop requires 1800 total watts which seems to be pretty standard give or take.Second thing that was important in choosing an inverter was the remote on/off switch. Inverters are going to be drawing power from your battery any time they are turned on regardless of if you are using them to power devices or not, so you do not want them on all the time. This inverter has a nice looking remote switch that I added to my master switch panel as seen in my second photo. The reason this was very important is because my inverter is located inside my storage area and is not easily assessable. The switch comes with plenty of wire to run it anywhere in the vehicle and has an indicator light to show when itโs switched on.Third would be noise level. All inverters have cooling fans and some can be very noisy. This inverter has a very quiet fan. I doubt I will ever be able to even hear it running from the cargo area.The inverter has a sturdy steel mounting plate on the bottom that is visible in my first photo.All things considered I am really pleased with this purchase. The inverter works well and was well designed.

Haven’t had any issues, except one time it quit working when my battery were at 50%. Lifepo4 batteries, only a year old. Don’t know if it’s a batt problem, or what, but as soon as I charged them up it worked again no problem. Nice and quiet, and for a 3000w PURE sine wave, I think it’s a good value for the money. I recommend a cut off in line from batt to inverter on positive line, with a method of precharging the capacitor or whatever that is.. watched a video and followed the video.. not sure what exactly I was doing, but this thing pulls a lot of power as soon as it is hooked to the battery, so it really should have a method of gently increasing power to the capacitor instead of dumping it all at once.

Cables are rated 200A with 3/8โ Copper Eyelet Lugs, excellent cables. These lugs will work fine with 5/16โ marine terminals. For 1/4โ terminals, youโll need a washer.Arcs pretty aggressively, recommend connecting positive line first while unit is switched OFF. This is a sign that there are big caps and might handle big inductive loads well.At 180W, fans are completely off. If you put your ear to the unit, there is an almost imperceptible hum. The tone is lower pitched and is not bothersome or even detectable from a few feet.Connecting/Disconnecting smaller 100W inductive loads doesnโt cause power loss like in cheaper units such as Potek 2000W Pure Sine Wave inverter.At 320W, fans are still off. The hum is now almost undetectable with your ear to the unit.At 1050W, the fans are still off and still almost exactly 120V AC. Iโm impressed. All lines and terminals are ice cold. The hum has taken a new tone, but it is barely detectable with your ear to the unit.At 1130W, the fans are on low. Unfortunately, a high frequency squeal is added to the noise profile that I can hear from 20 feet away. I have young ears (age 30s) and can hear 15kHz+ no problem. You probably arenโt using this thing as a pillow at night, but just be aware. I’m calling the upper limit at 1100W continuous for my personal use because the noise drives me nuts. YMMV.At 1600W, my battery bank voltage drops to 10.8V which may indicate that I am reaching the limits of what loads I can reasonably test with only two batteries and low charge. The fans are at medium speed and weโve dropped to 110V AC. The high pitched squeal is very slightly louder. It seems like the fans are responsible for the squeal.I will recharge the batteries and retest higher loads tomorrow. I am running out of appliances! This is the first inverter of four that has met, and actually exceeded my expectations. You get a lot of bang for your buck with this one. Literally the only issue I’ve come up with is the high pitched squeal at 1100W+, which is well above my camper van base load 98% of the time. I am a HAPPY CAMPER thus far, thank you Renogy for actually delivering a product that meets and even exceeds its specifications. This is my fourth inverter; all previous inverters were returned for one or more serious issues.At least one reviewer listed the soldered 25A fuses on the mainboard as an issue – they managed to blow one or more of them. I like this unit so much that I don’t have the heart to test.

no lo pude usar no me sirve este equipo pues es de la mitad de la capacidad del equipo comprado llego uno de solo 1000W y compre uno de 2000WNo puedo creer este error me frenรณ el equipamiento de mi RV y es bรกsico este equipo, suspendido mi viaje una empresa como RENOGY debe responderEnviando el equipo comprado

Easy to hook up and works well. I like the choice that you can wire it into you panel instead of plugging an appliance into the inverter. It is quiet too.

Tengo unos cinco o seis aรฑos experimentando con energรญa solar. He tenido inversores de otras marcas. Tengo un EPEVER de onda pura de 24V, con capacidad de 1500W que si alimenta un UPS con 111V de AC y de ahi 3 servidores y el modem de Telmex. Pero la energรญa es muy rara. Si le conectas una laptop, el mousepad deja de funcionar. Y el modem de Telmex reinicia la conexiรณn y la IP (no el aparato) con frecuencia. Tengo un SAMLEX de 450W de onda modificada (12V). Al conectar el UPS ni siquiera reconoce la energรญa. Pero funciona para conectar laptops (sin que el mousepad deje de funcionar) y cargadores de telรฉfonos. Ademรกs es muy ruidoso. Le tuve que cortar el ventilador interno y ponerle uno por fuera. ยกEste RENOGY de onda pura de 700W estรก muy bueno! Le conectรฉ el UPS y genera 116V de AC estable. Los servidores funcionan bien, y el modem de Telmex no se ha reseteado en dos dรญas. La energรญa es muy limpia. Si le conectas una laptop funciona perfectamente. Ahora lo tengo con un consumo de 206W aprox durante el dรญa, con un panel de 450W nominales y un controlador MPPT Epever. Los ventiladores hacen un ruidito muy discreto. ยกAdemรกs viene con dos cables de calibre 6AWG! Nunca me habรญa venido uno con los cables incluidos. Y tiene un control remoto alรกmbrico, que no he usado. El empaque, la construcciรณn del aparato, el manual que trae. Todo es de excelente calidad. Vale la pena pagar un precio mas alto por un aparato de buena calidad.Actualizaciรณn 21/SEP/2024: Lo que NO estรก bien, es que escribas una reseรฑa positiva, y le suban el precio el 35%, de $2,400 a $3,700. Quise comprar uno mas. Y no lo harรฉ a ese precio. ๐

I recently bought the Renogy 700 Watts solar power system and couldn’t be happier. It’s incredibly efficient, even on cloudy days, and the installation was straightforward with clear instructions. The build quality is excellent, with durable panels that handle all weather conditions. Highly recommended!

Perfet for my freezer
I bought this 1000W on a promo mainly to run my chest freezer (149W) and fridge during an extended power outage. This model is great for that and barely dropped the power in my 100Ah LiFePO4 for about 8 hours. Already have three 50W hobby solar panels so in theory could extend for days. This model does not have enough power for a microwave (mine is 1300W) but I was aware of that when I purchased. Recommend you use a Kill A Watt device to determine before you place order. Cables are heavy duty and fan never came on during this minimal load. Love the fact it’s pure sine wave, I can move it to friends house/camping with battery or run /charge off of car as well! Way cheaper and lighter than those solar generators if you already have some of the components
