Punches Well Above Its 275W Rating with Real Bifacial Boost, But Measure Your Space First
This Callsun N-Type 16BB 275W Bifacial Solar Panel is an exceptionally high-performing piece of solar tech that legitimately outperforms its rated specs when given the right conditions. Always had good luck with Callsun
This is for a single 275W panel, bifacial, 16BB, and anti-shade. So this is the type of panel that has all the latest tech built in.
When I first plugged in my meter I got 294W from this 275W panel. This uses the Vmp and Imp numbers from the meter. This will change under a real-life load, but this panel, and other CallSun panels, have consistently performed better than others I’ve tested. When I laid this flat on the ground with the sun striking it from a 28 degree angle, it still put out 287W.
Then I tested the anti-shade capabilities, and again, the numbers were better than most panels. Anti-shade tech is when sections of the solar panel are wired in parallel, so that if some cells are in the shade, others can still provide power. The worst numbers I got is when I covered about 1/2 the panel with a big cardboard box that went across a number of lines, thus stopping most of the sunlight from making power, but still got 45W. The best ‘covered panel’ number was when I covered about 20% of one end, and got 156W.
After this I tested the bifacial properties. In this test I had the sun beaming directly on the panel when it was up on sawhorses, about 30 inches off the ground. I put a couple of large, white foam panels on the ground under the sawhorses, which enables the sun to reflect from the foam to the underside of the panels. With the sun hitting directly on the front, and the reflected light to the back, it generated 308W.
Overall this is a great performer. The power output when it is shaded is pretty good, as is the power when the sun hits the surface. The only downside is the price. It’s about 91 cents/watt, which is on the high side. As great as this is, there’s many panels out there that are a lot less- from about 60-75 cents/watt. So shop around. I suspect the price tag is because it has all the latest tech, and it delivers.

275 watts of sunshine !
Callsun has outdone themselves ! This 275 watt solar panel is putting charge to my batteries at amazing rates, even sitting on the ground while waiting for professional mounting supplies. I have charged using this single 275 panel with my brand name mppt controller and it is taking advantage of every single watt. It is charging my large 100ah lithium battery the same day from empty. Also i have tested this panel with a cheaper pwm controller which i use for landscape lighting and it even delivers a good amount of watts on a pwm charge controller. I love the fact that this is a N-type panel and i love the bifacial feature, which will be a big benefit when mounted and especially in the winter. From box to installation in my back yard took all of about 2 minutes, as it was super easy. I love the large size of this panel as well because the surface area provides every bit of power you’d hope to get from it. The framing is super durable and high quality as well. Temporary mounting has also been relatively straight forward with no issues. The MC4 connector cables are plenty long to make life simple. All said, this Callsun is THE best solar panel in my arsenal and i plan to add about 5 more to use on my mppt system that runs our window air conditioners. This panel is going to last a good 30 years i believe and i feel like it is a super bargain for the money that they are selling for. Top of the line 5 star rating !

Solid performance so farโhits ~200W flat on deck, pairs well with EcoFlow Delta 2
I recently picked up this CallSun 275W panel to add to my solar setup and connected it to my EcoFlow Delta 2. Overall, itโs been a reliable performer, though your output will heavily depend on your placement.
Here is what Iโve experienced in real-world testing so far:
* Sunlight Output: On bright, full August sun, the highest input Iโve recorded is around 200 watts. Keep in mind, I currently have it lying completely flat on my deck, so Iโm not optimizing the angle relative to the sun.
* Overcast Output: On a heavily cloudy day, it pulled in about 88 watts. Given how thick the cloud cover was, pulling nearly 90W was actually a pleasant baseline.
* Bifacial Performance: Since itโs laying flat on deck boards, the rear side isn’t getting any ground reflection to take advantage of the bifacial cells. Tilting it up or placing it on a reflective ground surface should push that 200W ceiling higher.
* Size & Setup: I paired this with a separate 200W bifacial panel I already owned to run into the Delta 2. Combining mismatched panel sizes isn’t the ideal electrical setup, but it works fine for my temporary rig. Physically, itโs noticeably larger than the 200W panel, so plan your deck or rack space accordingly before buying.
Verdict:
Itโs a solid panel that performs predictably under less-than-ideal mounting conditions. If you mount it on tilt brackets to catch proper sunlight angles and ground reflection, you’ll easily pull closer to its rated capacity. Recommended if you need a high-wattage 12V-optimized panel for a power station!

A full-sized bifacial panel using the latest tech for permanent or semi-permanent installations
Solar panels come in all shapes and sizes, from small portable panels up to full size for mounting on a house or ground array. This panel from Callsun is more of a full-sized panel suited for more permanent installations. An aluminum frame around all four sides allows a variety of mounting methods and hardware. This panel is bifacial, meaning it collects solar energy from both the front side and the back side and output will increase when placed near or on surfaces which reflect light well such as lighter-colored concrete or lighter-colored roof shingles. It is important to note that this type of panel still produces power even in partial shade. This is a big deal because many early panels would only work well if you had 100% sunlight on the panel. Even the shadow of an overhead wire would mess up production on the older ones. This uses standard MC4 connectors and I recommend that anyone working with these get a small plastic tool for helping to connect and disconnect cables, it just makes life easier. Like all solar panels, these will degrade over time but the amount of degradation is better than most and this panel will continue to produce even after years of use. This is a 275W panel with an open circuit voltage of 26.26V and a short circuit current rating of 13.69A. This is a serious panel suitable for serious applications and uses the most up-to-date technology. Pricing is in line with alternatives on the market. Recommended.

Well made and works great
I will have to say I am impressed by this panel. First of all it has all the latest technology built into it. It is bifacial and that can be a big boost. It is also really big. Compared to my other solar panels of the same wattage, it is probably 25% larger. However, you area really getting you moneys worth on this one. It is a high quality build and I can find no flaws in the workmanship. It looks good, but a bit heavy. The installation of this is going to be a bit of a challenge because it is bigger then my other ones, but I will make it work.
I took it out in the bright sunlight with a slightly reflective rear surface and this is what I got with my tester: (Tester image attached)

Powerful bifacial 200W class panel
This is a quality panel that is very versatile when picking a site for installation. The panel is physically large and relatively heavy (~30 lb.) so it is more suited for a fixed or semi-fixed location. You can mount it flat to a surface or you can mount it on a tilt mount (~45 deg.). You are on your own for mounts as it doesn’t come with any. To take advantage of the bifacial generation feature you really need to mount it on an angled open back mount. The partial shading protection is not dependent on the mounting. This is probably its best feature. You get useful power even if part of the panel is shaded. Workmanship is good, but, like all bifacial panels, the mechanical strength of the panel is a little less than a single sided panel of the same size. One good thing is that in many cases you could get by with this one panel instead of two others if you mount it in a place where you can take advantage of both sides. In some cases, this could save you money by not having to buy a second panel. Voltage output was as rated, and current seemed to be as stated (amp meter maxed at 10A) also. If you want to experiment with bifacial panels, this is a serious contender.

Probably the most efficient solar panels out there.
I know Callsun solar panels pretty well as I have many versions of them.
From 50w to 100w to 210w and now 275w.
One thing they all have in common is that they are all N-type panels and they all do over their rated wattage.
Right out of the box, this panel does 330w.
Sure the panels are still cool but if I can get over wattage right out of the box, I’m happy.
After 30 mins in the sun, it’s still around 310w on the solar meter.
I have a Bougrv 300w that also Ntype but that panel never tested any higher than 275w.
This Callsun is smaller rated lower and produce much better wattage.
One thing I do have to nitpick is that for a bigger panel, the voltage is low and the amperage is high.
In the solar world, you want to run high voltage and lower amperage.
That way, you don’t have to worry about heat and you can use thinner cables.
The good thing is if you need lower voltage for your power station, this maybe the perfect solution.
You can run 2 of these in series and still stay under 60v which is the limitation of a lot of power stations.
