After a lot of research, I chose this 10KW inverter/charge controller for my first solar system and I’m very happy that I did. It has been running flawlessly for 5 months now. Currently I have 3.6KW PV array on 1 of the 2 PV channels and 21 KWHrs of LIFEPO4 battery capacity. The output of inverter is wired to my home panel via multiple single circuit transfer switches. I’m a retired controls engineer with a small business at home so this type system works great for me. I can selectively power any circuit in my home except a 13KW tankless water heater. I installed the system primarily for grid down backup but I’ve used it so far to shave around 75% off my electric bill. Had a minor issue during during startup and contacted Sungold. They responded promptly but I had already found problem was insufficient battery for a large inverter and corrected. Sunny also contacted me recently to follow up on problem. I highly recommend.

I was happy to receive this item and had no issues installing it. One of the first things I ran in am issue with was the SOC not reporting or displaying correctly. After having it for a little over month it stopped charging. I attempted to contact tech support twice once for the soc and once for the charging. No help was available and the only response I received from the company was to change the battery voltage to correct the soc. When I asked where do I do that at which setting. Which btw was my first question and when I got that answer I told them apparently you don’t know your product. I am still waiting for a reply. I called the company when it stopped charging my batteries and am still waiting on a call back. I contacted Amazon and they authorized a return of the item with a refund of the purchase price minus $400. I will be contacting Amazon again to find out why and will update this review. All I can say is if you choose to purchase this item that you have better luck then I did. I really don’t like to write reviews that are negative but I was left with no other choices. Contacted Amazon customer service and found out they are charging me a $370 restocking fee on an item that stopped working. So I paid $1690 + $160.78 tax = $1850 and because the item stop working i am only getting a refund for $1480.78. So you make your choice before purchasing this item. You have been warned!

Delivered on time without damage. Nicely and safely packaged. Because this 10K unit is an upgrade from a smaller inverter, installation was quick and simple. All the cables, wires, batteries, etc. were all in place. Installation only took a few hours. Even the settings were similiar to my old inverter so it was easy to set up. I had a few questions so I did call Sungold and I got answers fairly quickly with a pleasant response. I emailed Sunny re: compatible computer software available and he helped send me the download link. The inverter has been fully functional without issues for over 30 days. A great, powerful inverter.

Opted to go this route for a RV set up using 4 24V/200ah batteries in 2S/2P configuration (20Kw).Install was fairly easy as the unit weighs about 50 lbs. Because of the tight fit, it was very difficult connecting the 50a A/C cables. Prob not an issue if you have more space. Got everything hooked up except solar (next project, will update) and fired it up. Running on line power is no problem. It handles all loads and charges the batteries at the same time. On battery/inverter ran it up to 6000 watts and it worked fine too. Does get load with the fans, though. My most notable complaint would be a lack of a remote panel set up. or a blue tooth option. It does have a Wi-Fi but I haven’t figured out how to connect yet.Because it’s another Chinese made product, I warrantied thru Amazon to be safe. Also rolling the dice when it comes to support as I have asked a few questions at the Sungold web site and received no replies.Overall satisfied with product so far…

This inverter is probably the best deal on the net! All 9kw of my solar connected to built in MPPT. I have been off grid for 15 years. This 10000 watt inverter replaced my 6000 watt sungoldpower 24 v low frequency split phase which still works years later. Just needed an upgrade. We threw everything at this inverter to try to overload. Well pump, coffee maker, microwave, induction cooktop, toaster oven all at the same time. No overload to the inverter! Runs quiet at night. Fans run during charging and heavy loads but not too loud.

Got this inverter to add to an existing Sungold inverter to set them up in parallel as they advertise. I followed all the instructions and steps exactly but experienced issues where I had 3 different error codes.Contacted Sungold and they said one of the error codes didnโt exist. Their support is slow and takes days between replies.Very disappointed in their products and lack of quality control and the many issues they have.

This is the best I have used so far especially the app gives the correct information. Itโs quiet compared to my other charge controllers. Definitely puts out good power 220v for my large appliances!!!
